As with many things nowadays, if you need to find a value-added reseller (VAR) or consultant, you can do it on the Web. A couple of organizations that specifically target this market:

Network Professional Association. The NPA's membership consists of network computing professionals, which may include some resellers and consultants who consider themselves network professionals.

VARBusiness. A leading trade magazine, VARBusiness features the VAR 500, a listing of the top 500 VARs, integrators and consultants in North America.

You can also contact your industry's trade association to help you locate a VAR or connect you with members who have worked with particular resellers or consultants. Or you can ask your peers and business associates for recommendations. It helps to find a VAR or consultant who has helped other small businesses overcome similar challenges.
